Ben & David
With music, song and drama, “Ben & David” tells the eventful story of the friendship between Ben, the lively son of the klezmer (town musician) and David, the shy son of the rabbi. The timeless story from the shtetl world of the 19th century combines Jewish life at that time with everything that makes a friendship today. A humorously told, rousing and touching musical about friendship.
School, bar mitzvahs, mutual support, a valuable book – and the power of music: a delight for children and adults alike!
The work commissioned by the Fürth Cultural Office was immediately one of the highlights of the International “Jewish Music Today” Festival 2021 and has been a regular guest there ever since!

“The song of friendship resounds, with cheerful klezmer sounds, singing and dancing, the children in the room clap along enthusiastically. […] ‘And now I have very soft muscles because of all the clapping! What a sweet, beautiful ending.”
